Andrea King stepped before the cameras as Sheilah Andrews in Warner Bros.’ wartime adventure “Darby’s Rangers” with less than a half-day’s notice. Most of her screen time was opposite Warner’s rising talent Corey Allen, who had left a big impression in “Rebel Without a Cause,” racing cars to a fatal conclusion against James Dean. Corey later became an Emmy-winning television director.
